6 working Days and challenge of running every day sounds difficult. But as the proverb goes, “Difficult doesn’t mean impossible. It simply means that one has to work hard.” I was so determined to run 100 days last year that sometimes I woke up as early as 3 o’clock to finish my scheduled half marathon. I enjoyed running every single day for 100 days continuously and also received many compliments when I got back in shape. HDOR 2019 transformed me into a completely different person.
All these achievements would have been impossible if my wife- Payal Krishangopal Malu had not stood by me patiently throughout. She continuously encouraged and supported me in my mission. She would take care of my needs right from the moment that I would get up to go for my daily run. She would get up with me to make sure that I had all that I needed. She continues to take care of my diet and makes sure that I eat right so that I can continue running strong. I can’t thank her enough for her contribution to my running.
I would also like to thank two other people whom I have not met yet but they have played an important role in my running journey – Irina Hazarika Barua Ji – the Evergreen Motivator, and Keshav Manik Tahla Ji – Mentor.
A special mention to lovely members of ‘Running Above All’ and ‘United by Running’ for their encouraging words throughout HDOR challenge.
I also thank the entire team of HDOR for creating this wonderful platform – 100 Days of Running.
